Prep Time

Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 3 cups walnuts
  • 10 medjool dates
  • 1 tbsp protein powder
  • 3 tbsp protein chocolate spread
  • 1 cup granola
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

1

Soak the dates for about 15 minutes in hot water. Peel the skin and remove the pit. Blend or mash with a fork to obtain a puree.

2

Blend the walnuts and 3 cups of water. Strain the walnuts with a nut milk bag or cheesecloth. Squeeze well until you get all the liquid. You get a BONUS - walnut milk.

Tip:

  • For healthier version, soak the walnuts overnight. It's good for digestion and gut health.

3

Combine the walnut meal, left in the cheesecloth, with protein powder and the dates puree. Mix well and shape by hand three burgers.

4

Cut the apples into slices. Make layers by placing the sweet burgers in the middle, then a slice of apple, protein chocolate spread and make a layer with granola and again an apple. Finish with cinnamon sticks.
